Rules and Details:
• Owner family living upstairs will accommodate guests with efforts to minimize noise, but there are children and pattering feet. And sometimes this sounds like tender harp serenades and other times like storming elephants :)
• Additional cleaning care and protocol are in place sue to the pandemic. Owners have been certified though an external body and one is a health care worker. Interaction will be minimal but if you need something, don’t hesitate to ask. There is a virus filter running constantly downstairs for your use. Feel free to tap the top to adjust level of filtering.
• As the guest apartment is below street level, there will be a pump sound from flushing and water use in the suite.
• Lake is mostly inhabited by fish, ducks, geese, and the occasional blue heron, but seven families share space by fishing catch-and-release, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Water is treated and tested and lake is shallow all around our property, but we cannot promise water potability or safety. There is
plenty of algae and nature droppings, but we find the lake very enjoyable for adults and children alike.
• We provide life jackets. We do have one kayak and one paddle board with paddles/oars for each for your use. We do not have fishing equipment. In the winter, lake may be used for ice skating, but we cannot guarantee weather or timing of proper freeze. We also cannot guarantee safety, though the lake on our end is very shallow.
• We are respectful to avoid disturbing other shorelines that may be private property.
• ONLY those listed in the booking are allowed on the property—additional visitors can be accomodated at an additional fee by adding them as guests at booking. Please let us know if you have questions before arrival.
